Sons of Essex

Brunch should be a party. There is great food, good friends, endless drinks surrounded by your favorite jams being blasted everywhere around you. Sounds like an easy formula for success that not every place can seem to master, but Sons of Essex masters this without effort.

You walk in through the front doors to tell the hostess you there for your table. (Def suggest you make a reservation in advance...they are always booked!) We literally got in before the last call for food, which is at 3:30, then the party truly begins.

No bottomless mimosas here, unless you have a party of 10+ for $35, but you can get a Mimosa or Bellini carafe for about $15 if your party isn't that big (which I did). They also have a brunch Prix menu for $30, but me and my friends ordered from the full menu.

I ordered the Crunch Berry French Toast ($15) and a side of Maple Glazed Bacon($6). [sidenote: it came with a lot of bacon (my side)]

It was so good! I was dancing to tunes, but mostly it was a happy dance for the food. After we finished, we had shots, more drinks, and SO much fun. We left about 6/7pm, and the sun was shining. SOE is completely dark inside so you lose track of time in a good way. You should definitely get lost at Sons soon.
