Tulum

Tulum

Tulum is truly a dream that every adult has spoken of.

My friend, Jordun decided to throw her 30th birthday party and threw all her close friends together in an Airbnb with a chef and bartender that smack dab in the middle of all the best sites/clubs as well as an ocean view.

See photos below:

We were really central to a great shopping, bikes, and smoothie/coffee shops - our favorite was Potheads! It was cash only so make sure you have pesos. We were also near the pharmacy and highly recommend you purchase Off! from Mexican pharmacies cause the mosquitoes were killer.

We stayed in Tulum for 5 ish days and then headed to Cancun after. Most days we just relaxed but other days we raged a little. With a bartender, the champagne forward drinks were following. We did decide to venture out some days.

We hit Taboo and rented a cabana which was around $75-$100 USD for 4 of us so around $500 USD but this goes towards your food, drinks, and shisha. Honestly, this was one of my favorite parts of the trip. Music was hip hop/reggaeton/top 40 and they had sax player play at certain times. Food was amazing and the drinks?!?!? SO GOOD and aesthetically pleasing.

We had to do a cute dinner for my girl’s 30th so we headed to the infamous treehouse restaurant, Kin Toh. In order to have a nest, you will need to email/call/ go in person to make a reservation. My friend Jenn and I went in person to make the reservation. I believe it was $50 per person to reserve, but this went to your food, drinks, and shisha. We got a round of drinks, two hookahs, and two bottles of Veuve and we spent no more than like $120 in total with around 6 ladies. Definitely go right before sunset. Truly breathtaking.

We also went to Hugo McCloud’s Tulum home and studio. It was designer’s dream. It was amazing to see where he created his art and lived during the pandemic.

since our trip a year ago, his brother unfortunately succumb to gun violence at his home.

Truly the food was amazing at the airbnb when we had dinner and breakfast some nights. It is all up to you on how many days you want to have a chef cook for you as well as snacks and alcohol.

Truly a magical, refreshing trip with all the vibes and pictures.

We also woke up early to catch the sunrise.
