Jun 29 Waffle Burger

Listed in Thrillist, as one of the best burgers in Maryland, is the Waffle Burger from Iron Rooster. It surely lives up to the hype.

After a stressful day filled with meetings all over DC, I call up my friend and treat myself to this burger. I started off with a cup of the house favorite. ' Smoked Brisket Chili' . This chili was amazing! No beans, which I prefer to be honest in my chili, and full of flavor. The cheese to sour cream to chili ratio was perfect. The fried corn tortillas add a nice touch, as well.

I decided to order an Angry Orchard to compliment my beer. Nothing like a burger & beer to end a tough day. You can pick your cheese, add bacon, or an egg (additional charge).

Completely up to you. The Waffle Burger was the perfect combo of salty and sweet. I decided to go with pepper jack cheese & bacon on top. With the sweetness of the cornmeal waffle bun & the salty goodness of the brisket and bacon, also the tangy/spice of the pepper jack cheese, it was amazing.
